6-23-26 THOUGHTS
We just looked at reconciliation in 2Cor 5:17-21. We add to our study this morning. God’s GRACE is shown in the “timing of the GIFT!” The “while we were still sinners” proves the point. Just before our reading, Rom 5:6 says “For while we were still helpless, at the right time Christ died for the ungodly.” Our being “saved by His life,” completes the circle of love from our graceful, merciful God! 2Pet 1:3 “seeing that His divine power has granted to us everything pertaining to life and godliness, through the true knowledge of Him who called us by His own glory and excellence.” Aren’t we a blessed people?
Rom 5:8-11 ESV but God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. 9 Since, therefore, we have now been justified by his blood, much more shall we be saved by him from the wrath of God. 10 For if while we were enemies we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, now that we are reconciled, shall we be saved by his life. 11 More than that, we also rejoice in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received reconciliation.
Our Prayer:
We praise and thank You, O Father God, for loving us into Your presence. Christ’s death and life brings us “all things that pertain to life and godliness.” May we increase and abound in our rejoicing in You through our Lord Jesus Christ! Through His name we pray... Amen.
